ABOUT CHALET LE MONTAGNARD

You will be charmed by this beautiful chalet perched on the mountain, in the heart of the woods and facing a lake protected for its aquatic fauna. It can accommodate up to 8 people with its 3 bedrooms, the mezzanine with a double bed and 2 single mattresses. 

• A 10 km hiking trail from the chalet.
• Travel on the wild and protected wetland lake close by (3-4 minutes walk). Note that the lake is not swimmable because too muddy on the banks and too much seaweed grow in the deeper areas. Moreover, its level fluctuates according to the season’s rainfalls. On the other hand, this lake is very pleasant to contemplate because of its vegetation and its avian and aquatic fauna.
• You can go swimming at the beach of Lac Rond Sainte-Adèle 12 minutes away by car.
• Chlorine free heated pool in season and spa available year round.

Enjoy a moment of relaxation in nature. Ideal for couples, families, meetings with friends or corporate get togethers.

Located between the charming villages of Sainte Adèle and Val-David, activities are not lacking in winter (cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right at the door, downhill skiing at 7 minutes, skating, sliding …) in the summer (hiking, cycling or mountain biking, climbing, the beach at Lac Rond Sainte-Adèle (12 min.), golf (10 min.), canoeing, horseback riding, etc., and at any time the cinema Pine with the most popular movies of the day in addition to a wide selection of restaurants and bars in the area.

The entire cottage is at your disposal except for the Condo in the basement (very well soundproof so no worries about noise) which is used by your hosts, discreet and respectful of your privacy. If necessary they are always happy to offer you services and advice. Also, living with them, are a beautyful friendly cat and Mia, the retired pet therapy dog.

It is possible to enlist the owner and cook of “La Tablée des Chefs” for breakfasts and/or dinners that will be concocted in the main kitchen. The cottage is equipped with a gas BBQ grill (usable all year) installed in the screened porch that will protect you from mosquitoes and rain!

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that we are looking for a MATURE, DISCREET and RESPECTFUL clientele. As a result and following too many bad experiences, we no longer rent to groups whose average adult age is under 28 or to people who want to party without worrying about noise for neighbors because even if they are far away, as we are in the mountains and in a peaceful environment, the sound carries a lot and night noises can bother them, so PARTIES ARE FORBIDDEN. Thank you for your understanding.

Animals: Note that small dogs may be accepted in the chalet with certain restrictions and under certain conditions. Fees of $75 for 1 dog and $25 for a 2nd dog may apply (2 dogs maximum). Full details in the chalet booking form.

Complete bedding is provided as well as towels for the showers.

The kitchen is very well equipped. You will find, among other things, an espresso coffee machine, a coffee grinder, a food processor as well as equipment for the fondue (gas) in addition to all the usual accessories in a kitchen. In general, some basic elements are there such as: sugar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filter, cellophane and aluminum foil, vegetable oil, etc…

There is a 42 ” Smart HD TV (Netflix, Youtube, etc) but no conventional cable distributor as well as a cd/dvd player and unlimited Wi-Fi access.

There is also a washer/dryer set, a dishwasher and a year-round gas BBQ grill at your disposal.

The SPA is open year long.

Absolutely non-smoking in the cottage and on the balconies.

There is a labra/Danish dog, trained for pet therapy, living with the hosts on the property.

The chalet being on a mountainside, access stairs are to be climbed (11 steps).
