ABOUT CHALET LE ROSELIN

Located 1h30 from Montreal, on the banks of Ouareau Lake in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci (bordering St-Donat), in the beautiful region of Lanaudière. It can accommodate up to 10 people (rates based on number of occupants).

Located 1h30 from Montreal, on the banks of Ouareau Lake in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci (bordering St-Donat), in the beautiful region of Lanaudière. It can accommodate up to 10 people (rates based on number of occupants). 

The main floor, fully open concept, includes the modern kitchen, a dining room overlooking the lake, a living room with fireplace and pool table.

In summer, a huge terrace 93m2 (1000p2), fully equipped with outdoor lounge and garden furniture, will offer you a beautiful extension of the cottage overlooking the lake. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor with a family room, a sofa bed and a second TV. The outdoor spa is usable all year round.

For fishing enthusiasts (- fishing zone # 9 – compulsory license), the lake contains several species of fish such as largemouth bass, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and, in some areas, muskellunge.

You can practice a multitude of activities in all seasons: swimming, fishing, canoeing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, tube sliding, dog sledding, zip-line, ice fishing at the Kanatha-Aki Center, hiking, golf, etc …

The Roselin is a small paradise for snowmobile enthusiasts, since the trail on the lake directly joins the # 33 trail (Buy online right of access). You can also practice ATV or QUAD in all seasons in the many trails nearby. (vehicles not included)

Ouareau Lake has an area of ​​nearly 15km2 and an average depth of 54m (177 feet). The cottage is nestled in the hollow of the Bay where you can enjoy direct access to the lake.

Boats: If you want to use your own boat or rent one for the duration of your stay, please note that the dock shown in the photos of the Roselin cannot be used to dock the boat. The information for the municipal license and the launching available on request.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that we are looking for a MATURE, DISCREET and RESPECTFUL clientele. As a result and following too many bad experiences, we no longer rent to groups whose average adult age is under 28 or to people who want to party without worrying about noise for neighbors because even if they are far away, as we are in the mountains and in a peaceful environment, the sound carries a lot and night noises can bother them, so PARTIES ARE FORBIDDEN. Thank you for your understanding.

Animals: Note that small dogs may be accepted in the chalet with certain restrictions and under certain conditions. Fees of $75 for 1 dog and $25 for a 2nd dog may apply (2 dogs maximum). Full details in the chalet booking form.

Complete bedding is provided as well as towels for the showers.

The kitchen is very well equipped. You will find, among other things, an espresso coffee machine, a coffee grinder, a food processor as well as equipment for the fondue (gas) in addition to all the usual accessories in a kitchen. In general, some basic elements are there such as: sugar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filter, cellophane and aluminum foil, vegetable oil, etc…

There is a 50 ” HDTV and a second one of 46 ”, soundbar and DVD player, unlimited Wi-Fi access, washer / dryer, BBQ (propane provided – not guaranteed in winter) as well as a dishwasher at your disposal.

 

The spa is open year-round.

 

BOATS:

If you want to use your own boat or rent one for the duration of your stay, please note that the dock shown in the photos of the Roselin cannot be used to dock the boat. The launching must be done from the dedicated places of the City of St-Donat.

In addition, for a tenant to bring his own boat, he must obtain a lake access permit and have his boat washed:

  • The cost of the lake access permit for non-taxpayers is $ 300.

Regarding the boat parking:

  • during the day, there is a parking lot to leave the car and the trailer in safety while you are on the water at the municipal launching ramps;
  • in the evening: take it out of the water and park it in the chalet parking and put it back in the water every day from the municipal launching ramp;
